In the early 2000s, our beloved founders, including Vietnam veteran Yeshi Reinhardt, along with a dedicated family of fellow believers and friends, stepped forward with unwavering compassion to minister amidst the trauma and turmoil in Israel. We began as humble servants, offering comfort through Christ's love to those experiencing deep pain, extending essential care to our brave soldiers, and bringing practical aid and solace to families deeply affected by conflict.

Our Founding Vision
At the heart of Hands of Mercy lies a profound, faith-inspired calling, ignited in 1992 by Vietnam War veteran Yeshi Reinhardt. Guided by God's leading and fueled by deep compassion, Yeshi embraced a fervent vision for holistic healing and spiritual resilience.
He established HOM not merely as a charity, but as a beacon of unwavering hope for those suffering from the trauma of war and terrorism in Israel. From its earliest days, this mission was destined for international reach, securing vital registrations in:

This enduring vision continued to beautifully unfold. In 2009, our team prayerfully moved HOM's operational heart to Sderot — a resilient city living under the constant shadow of rocket fire.
Here, Yeshi courageously opened "Tents of Victory." This sacred center became dedicated to embracing, comforting, and empowering trauma-affected communities, nurturing their journey towards deep healing and spiritual restoration. It was here that our "pay it forward" culture truly began to flourish, equipping those who had found healing to extend hope and transformation to others, multiplying our impact.
Leadership Transition
1992
Yeshi Reinhardt founded Hands of Mercy with a vision for healing and spiritual resilience in Israel.
2009
HOM established "Tents of Victory" in Sderot, providing trauma healing and fostering spiritual resilience.
2019
Y.S Goldman assumed leadership after Yeshi's passing, guiding HOM back to Jerusalem with a renewed focus.
In his final years, Yeshi, with profound wisdom and discernment, sensed a new season dawning for HOM and personally entrusted Y.S Goldman to carry forward and expand this vital work. Just before his heavenly homecoming, Yeshi specifically called upon Y.S Goldman to take the helm of HOM, foreseeing the need for a renewed sense of purpose and direction rooted in God's plan. This divine handoff ensured the legacy of compassion, hope, and disciple-making would not only continue but also flourish through a vibrant "pay it forward" culture, empowering and equipping many more to embrace transformation.
Return to Jerusalem
A Sacred Homecoming in 2019
Guided by Yeshi's final wishes and the Spirit's leading, Hands of Mercy returned to Jerusalem. This sacred homecoming reconnected the ministry to its foundational calling, anchoring us deeper into our roots for a new season of multiplied impact.
